Games and Methods
The #1 golf rule you MUST follow: take the car keys out of your golf bag before you throw it into the creek.
Handicap System (see handicaps page)
1. The largest allowable score is double par.
2. The lowest 6 of the last 8 rounds will be used. The high round elimination will occur
between years. If you have played one year, the high round will be eliminated. If two years, the highest two rounds will be eliminated.
3. Your average score minus 70 times .9 will yield the handicap for each round. The current handicap will be based on the average of the individual rounds.
4. You may change your Tee Box preference from year to year but not within a year.
5. If you do change tees:
We will add 3 strokes per round to your history if you are moving back and subtract
3 strokes per round if you are moving up. That is between R Tees and F Tees.
For moves to and from S tees, it is 5 strokes. The first year after changing tees, we will add or subtract from your history (5 or 3 strokes) for updating your handicap. So if you
from F to S, we will use the current year rounds and then use you history -5 strokes.
6. Handicaps do not change within a year.

Skins
Clear winners on each of the holes will split the pot. You must declare whether you are competing in the Gross or the Net Skins Game. If you want to compete in both, you need to pay an extra $10. Skins will be played Monday-Thursday and payouts will occur immediately after each round in the Clubhouse Pub.
Canadian Skins
New for 2022 is Canadian Skins. If you are in the Net Skins pool, and shoot a net Eagle (or better), but don't win a Net Skin because someone else tied you, but that person scored a higher gross than you did, you will have earned yourself a Canadian Skin. However, you cannot win a Canadian Skin if your score already won you a Gross Skin."

Most of a Kind
Each day, Monday through Thursday, there will be a prize for most 5's or 6's or 7's or 8's on that day. Of course, you won't know which of those numbers will be used until after the round. Not that anyone would try to get the most 8's :-).
Lone Ranger (Thursday's Team Event)
6 holes on each 9 will be highlighted on the scorecard. Those holes will be counted for your team net score. Low individual net, playing on the winning team, for those 12 holes will be the "Star of the Day".
Modified "Beck" Shamble (Friday's Team Event)
FORMAT:
This paragraph will not happen in 2019.
We will form the teams from a draft where the Captains will select their 4 man teams. (This will occur Sunday Night at the Beer Summit) 3 man teams, if any, will not get a fourth shot or a ghost score (60% handicap instead of 50% is expected to compensate). During this meeting we will cover the Shamble Rules and provide a sample scorecard.
All players tee off and a drive is selected. All players hit from there and play their own ball. On Par 5's you will not only be able to select the best drive and all play from there but you will also be able to do this on your second shot. You are then hitting 3 and playing your own ball into the hole. This is new!
Captains with noted * ONLY will drive off the Forward (Red) Tees, all others from their respective tees. Anyone at any time may tee off from tees that are farther back.
All Par 3's will be played from the Forward (gold) tees. However, anyone has the option of going to the white or black tees if they need a challenge. Ha!
SCORING:
Circle the player's score for that hole to indicate his drive was selected (4 man team must use 2 drives each, 3 man teams must use 3 drives each). Par 3's will not count as drives for this purpose.
Mark each hole's net score for each player on the scorecard.
Enter the BEST SINGLE NET SCORE (best ball) on the bottom of the scorecard.
Please total each player's net score and the team's best ball. Tiebreaker: #1 hcp hole, etc..
SHAMBLE HANDICAPS:
Each Player gets 50% of their handicap (rounded). Example:
Handicap of best player = 15
Your handicap = 31
Difference = 16
Multiply by = 50%
Handicap for the round = 8
For any 3 man team, it is as above except the multiplier is 60%. We will bump up the handicaps by 20% (60%/50%) with a minimum bump of 1 stroke. There will not be a fourth drive in a threesome.
Handicap distribution by hole will be from most difficult to least difficult; however, we will not be giving strokes on par 3's since there will be multiple chances to hit the green with the tee shot.
"Star of the Day" will be won by the golfer whose has the lowest total net score for the day. Since we are only counting the lowest net score on each hole for team competition, players may pick up; however, they need to score that as a double par net on the scorecard. This may influence the "Star of the Day" competition.
Because of this competition and the need for each player to accumulate a Total Net Score, if you do not complete a hole, that must be recorded as a Double Par Net. This then also becomes the maximum recordable score.
